World-class education for a new generation of South Sudanese leaders, entrepreneurs, and social builders
The school derives its name from Mount Kinyeti - the highest peak in South Sudan - a name which captures the aspiration we have for our students. In addition to ensuring our students cultivate rigorous intellect and knowledge as well as character and leadership skills, we will encourage them to rise to the pinnacle of whatever field they choose. Moreover, we want our graduates to be cognizant of the hurdles on a path to summit any human endeavor, and be able to address them to make a positive impact in the world.
Kinyeti Academy is the vision of founder Lorem Aminathia.
About Lorem Aminathia
At the beginning of the South Sudanese school year in February of 2024, I will be launching Kinyeti Academy, a model K-12 school that I am founding in Juba, our nation’s capital. Between now and January 2024, I am putting the groundwork for the launch in concert with an international board of advisors, educators, and organizations experienced with starting schools in very challenging educational conditions.
We are actively seeking funding partners to support this work. As the founder of the school and its primary advocate, I know that potential friends of the Academy will want to know something about my background and why I have been preparing for many years to dedicate myself to this project.
